Without further ado, adieu.

6 Apr

This is for day 6 of national poem writing month (about a goodbye)

Without further ado, adieu
Is what I should say to you
You’ve strung me along, for far too long
I should start off my life anew

Without further ado, adieu
Since I fell in love with you
You pushed me away, more and more every day
‘Til I have almost faded from view

Without further ado, adieu
It’s so hard to know what to do
You don’t know how I feel, what you did made me reel
But I know I can’t do it to you

Without further ado, adieu
This is more than just a loose screw
I’m losing my mind, but I’m no longer blind
I won’t go, but we’ve got work to do.

What fun to find someone who is as fond of meter and rhyme as I am! I thought we were a dying breed…
