Falling tritina

8 Apr

For day 7 of napowrimo/glopowrimo

In sleep they flailed as in dreams they fell
In horror and in silence, down
Toward the smashing ground

As fear increased their teeth were ground
Bedclothes onto carpet fell
All but the eider-down

Then as the vale of sleep came down
They were restored to solid ground
Until eyelids next fell…

…and again the ground fell down.

I hate dreams where I’m falling. Excellent poem.
