Water snail – eater of hope

30 Jun

Where once was hope
there’s now just
a solitary
water snail
sucking on
my entrails

From whence it came
I don’t know
it killed me though, this
water snail.
I wish that
it would go.

    Killed by a snailing
    You must have been ailing
It seems that you’ve lost all hope

    That slimy assassin
    Doesn’t know who he’s harassin’
He must be some kind of a dope.

I didn’t know you rapped too! Open mic! Beat box. I can’t believe I missed the opportunity to use the word ‘assnailant’!

I wish I could slug that thug of a slug who continues to bug this ugly mug.

Snails eat at your hope verrrrrrrry slowly, and then they slime you.

And then they attach to your swim bladder and absorb your essence through your own skin until you’re just another dead fish in an ocean full of dead fish. Too far? Too far.

Lol! Yeah!! There’s no such thing as “too far” in the world of poetry!

Hmm… we might just try and test that…
