Blob

18 Jul

I am blob

Reusable putty-like

Pressure-sensitive

Adhesive

Holding up a thing

Gravity defying

But growing old

Less putty-like
Less adhesive

I dropped my thing!

The other blobs are looking at me

I feel sick

Scraped away

My traces erased

Replaced by younger blob

Replaceable putty-like

Adhesive

This is awesome. Funny and sad at the same time.

Thanks! As I read it back, it feels a bit like ‘Fitter, Happier’ by Radiohead.

Great poem! Old blob also cracks under pressure.

Thanks DD! The pressure gets to us all sometimes. I imagine the pressure of 6 tonnes of earth (+ headstone) must be considerable?

Yeah, it gets quite heavy. But you know, chicks dig me, man. They take shovels, and they literally dig me out of that hole. It’s not so bad.

Oh, blobby, you’re still cool no matter how old you are. ❤️‍💋‍

Blimey, you lost your thing! Quick, append a bling and make it cling.

Plastic surgery disasters. And such. Even the best of blobs can’t fight gravity.

Indeed. Now it’s my turn to thank you for reading! Thank you!
